Behavior

Behavior--fresh, native, copious, each one for himself or herself,
Nature and the Soul expressed--America and freedom expressed--In it the finest art,
In it pride, cleanliness, sympathy, to have their chance,
In it physique, intellect, faith--in it just as much as to manage an army or a city, or to write a book--perhaps more,
The youth, the laboring person, the poor person, rivalling all the rest--perhaps outdoing the rest,
The effects of the universe no greater than its;
For there is nothing in the whole universe that can be more effective than a man's or woman's daily behavior can be,
In any position, in any one of These States.

Every one has a different behavior pattern. There are many different types, and no two people are going to be exactly the same. Success comes from behavior, which we choose. What we do and what we become come from our behavior.

Walt Whitman

Walt Whitman was a famous writer. He is most known  for his poetry. He would be considered a romanticist because he looked more in depth at situations. He talks about nature. He writes with feelings, not just facts. You can feel his emotions as you read his poems.

Oh Captain! My Captain!
O Captain! my Captain! out fearful trip is done,
The ship we weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up-for you the flag is flung-for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths- for you the shores a-crowding
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captian lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Success Comes Through Hard Work

I agree with the quote, "When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." People who work hard tend to do better than the people who don't care and slack off all the time. People who don't study for a test can get lucky and get a good grade, but it isn't making them successful. True success can be earned through hard work and dedication to whatever you want to put your mind to. Setting goals can also help bring success. People have to work towards the goals that are set.

Sophomore Year

So far this sophomore year is pretty good. It's been busy with all my schoolwork and after school activities, but it allows me to hang with my friends and to also get to know other people better. I have classes with my friends. The teachers are great so far. The work is a big jump from last year, but I think I am doing well and am learning from it.
